Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP)

An annual benefit provided to eligible low-income households to assist with energy costs. Payments are made directly to the power company or energy supplier for eligible residents in Hernando, Pasco, and Sumter counties. Eligibility requirements: household must provide proof of income, a current utility bill and have an income at or below 150% of the poverty level. Households interested in applying should contact Mid Florida Community Services office at (855) 643-3567 to schedule an appointment.
