Read this wonderful article on the Jo Sheppard Head Start Child Development Center written by Maria Alvarez with Wandering Educators.

Ms. Alvarez has written a very glowing article on the Head Start program and the positive effects to the children and community.  She states, "What I did observe is a solid group of well-trained teachers guiding the cognivte, emotional, and linguistic development of the children in a variety of ways." She also notes, "I did not witness any negative or disruptive incidents. Not one."
