Warming Up the Community

Event Description

McAlister’s Deli has selected Meals on Wheels America as the beneficiary of its upcoming Warming Up the Community campaign, which will run from November 1 through November 30, 2020.

During the campaign, McAlister’s Deli will be donating 10 cents from every cup or bowl of soup sold to Meals on Wheels America (MOWA) in support of their mission to reduce senior hunger and isolation.

Mid Florida Community Services, Inc’s., Senior Services program, a member program of MOWA, will receive a portion of the funds generated from this campaign.

Mid Florida Community Services, Inc’s. (MFCS), Senior Services program offers a wide array of services designed to support aging seniors in their efforts to live independently and reduce hunger and isolation through services such as: nutrition education, access to meals through home-delivered meal options and congregate meal sites, and telephone reassurance, to name a few.

Customers can support MOWA and the MFCS Senior Services program through the Warming Up the Community campaign throughout the month of November at the Lake County McAlister’s Deli which is located at 2420 East Highway 50 in Clermont.
